Mu Li has researched extensively on markets and industries of base, specialty, and precious metals, focusing on supply and demand fundamentals, policy developments, as well as investment-related issues related to these sectors. She manages CPM Group’s research projects related to base and specialty metals, and regularly contributes analysis on commodity markets and industries, the financial markets, and economic conditions. She provides advisory services to institutional clients on matters including strategic investment, business operations and expansions, as well as commodity price hedges. She often speaks to the financial press and presents at international mining and institutional investment conferences.
Ms. Li was previously a reporter at Platts, a division of McGraw Hill Financial, where she covered businesses and regulations in the energy and metals sectors and assisted the assessment of pricing of physical and financial energy market transactions in the North America region. Ms. Li graduated from University of Missouri with a Masters of Arts in Journalism, and had been a recipient of scholarships from the White House Correspondents Association, the Asian American Journalists Association and the Duffy Fund. She has a Bachelors of Arts in English Literature and Journalism from Beijing Foreign Studies University.
